The hit pair- Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao are back again to entertain us. After releasing a few whacky and crazy posters, today, the makers have released a very 'suspicious' motion poster that will set your imagination on fire. In the motion poster, Rajkummar and Kangana are looking intense while the surrounding is getting burned down. "1 mystery" and "2 suspects" are written on it. While the duo looks classy and suave, this is a motion poster that cannot be missed at all.
Sharing the motion poster of the film, the caption read, "They're here to set fire to your perceptions. Trust No One! #MentalHaiKya #TrustNoOne" The motion poster also reveals that trailer will come out soon and we certainly can't wait to watch it.
Not only that, the producer Ekta Kapoor also took to her Instagram account and shared a long disclaimer note before releasing the trailer of the film. She wrote while sharing the motion poster, "DISCLAIMER: The film in no way marginalises the mental health community and the title of our film doesn’t intend to offend or disregard anyone’s sentiments. It’s a film that makes a larger point and is sensitive towards the issue of mental illness. The film is a fictional thriller that encourages you to celebrate your uniqueness and embrace your individuality. #mentalhaikya in theatres 26 July ! Trailer releases soonest"
For those who were living under the rock, a few months ago, the title of the film landed in trouble so much so that a complaint was filed against the film. The complaint addressed to CBFC Chief Prasoon Joshi, states that Mental Hai Kya helmed by Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Motion Pictures seems to violate many section of Mental Health Care Act, 2017.
The chairperson of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), Prasoon Joshi by The Indian Psychiatric Society (IPS) has called the film, “discriminative, stigmatising, degrading and inhuman in projecting mental disorders and persons." The members of Psychiatric Society have termed the posters and the title as atrocious and insensitive towards people who are actually suffering from mental health issues.
With this disclaimer note, it looks like Ekta doesn't want to risk anything before releasing the trailer of Mental Hai Kya.
The film is scheduled to hit the big screens on July 26, 2019.
